April 19, (THEWILL) – Gunmen, on Tuesday night, abducted Daniel Ogoshi, the driver of Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe.
A family source said Ogoshi was abducted around 9:30pm at the residence of his friend in Ombi 2, College of Agric, Kwandere Road, Lafia.
The media officer to the Deputy Governor, Christopher Ehima, who confirmed the incident, said he was informed about the situation but did not have adequate information on what had transpired.
He expressed shock over the incident and assured that the State Government would do everything possible to secure the release of the kidnapped driver.
Spokesperson of the Nasarawa Police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said the police were on top of the matter.
