August 30, (THEWILL) – The Ogbaru Local Government Area secretariat in Anambra State has been attacked by gunmen.
Sources in the area said the gunmen arrived at the Secretariat on Friday morning, attacking buildings and destroying properties within the headquarters of the council area.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, however, said: “Security operatives gallantly resisted the gunmen, but some LGA properties were destroyed, some buildings were also affected, but no lives were lost.”
Ikenga said a joint security operation was ongoing in the area.
