
October 04, (THEWILL) – Heavily armed men attacked Ungwan Taila village, Kaduna state, killing two persons.
The troops of Operation Safe Haven disclosed the development in a security report to the state government.
The troops said security personnel arrived in the village after the attackers had killed the two residents.
A statement released on Monday by the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwa, said the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, regrets any further loss of lives and property from such attacks in the area.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to their families. He assured them of the government’s relentless efforts in ensuring the sustenance of peace in the state.
