July 25, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. Ibrahim Bello, Sarkin Katsinan and Emir of Gusau, who died in Abuja on Friday morning at the age of 71.
In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the monarch’s death as a “collective loss” that extends beyond his immediate domain.
Tinubu praised the late emir for his lifelong dedication to public service and traditional leadership, noting that he “left behind a legacy of dignity and public service,” and would be remembered for his “sense of duty, commitment to his people, and exemplary leadership.”
The late Dr. Bello, a respected traditional ruler, held several key positions throughout his career and was widely regarded for his efforts in promoting peace and development in Zamfara State and the broader northern region.
Tinubu extended his condolences to the government and people of Zamfara State, as well as to the family of the deceased, praying for Allah’s mercy on his soul.
