
July 27, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has said that a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels caused the fuel scarcity being experienced in some parts of Nigeria, especially Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
A statement issued on Saturday, by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Ltd, Olufemi Soneye, said the company is working with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations.
Titled: “NNPC Ltd Speaks on Fuel Supply Situation,” Soneye said, “The NNPC Ltd. wishes to state that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels.
“The company further states that it is working round the clock with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations.”
