September 08, (THEWILL) — The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Dolapo Badmos, as the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Permanent Mission’s Representative to the United Nations headquarters in New York.
A statement by the Force Headquarters said the deployment is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s engagement in international law enforcement and global security affairs.
Before her new assignment, ACP Badmos served as the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Federal Operations at the Department of Force Intelligence, Abuja. Her career has spanned various operational and administrative roles, but she is widely recognised for her outstanding tenure as Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos and Zone 2 Command, where she earned admiration for her professionalism, charisma, and media-friendly approach.
The appointment is seen as a major boost for Nigeria’s representation in global security and policing affairs, with many observers expecting ACP Badmos to leverage her vast expertise in public relations and operations to project a positive image of the Force on the world stage.
