Dan Osim disclosed this at the APC Secretariat in Cross River State, while paying a consultative visit to the leadership of the party.
He informed the party leadership that he aspires to contest for the seat in the next general elections so as to reverse the trend.
“I have come here to present myself to you for service and to intimate you of my aspiration.
“The purpose of representation is to ensure that the voice of the people is heard.
“For seven years there has been no mention of the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
“I hope to reverse this trend and leave a legacy of better representation and also a legacy where people find worth and value through representation”, he said.
He said he has served the state diligently as works commissioner and he has not been found wanting, indicted or invited by security agencies.
He promised to bring his experience, pedigree, competence and capacity to bear if given the ticket to fly the party’s flag.
In his remarks, the state party chairman, Alphonsus Ogar Eba, said the ticket is in the hands of the people.
He said the BIVAS technology exploded during the last elections and that politicians who are not in touch with the people should leave politics and do something else.
He insisted that our people will decide who represents them and the party will only monitor to ensure that the right thing is done.
He stressed that tickets are no longer in the office but in the villages and communities and promised to provide a level playing field.
