October 20, (THEWILL) – Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) For Abeokuta South Constituency 1, Hon. Sowunmi Olomu, has said that he would push a security bill for farmers if he wins the seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly in the 2023 election.
Olomu, who made this known on Tuesday, during his ward-to-ward campaign, said he was the right man the constituents needed to change the fortune of their constituency.
He lamented the difficulties farmers in the constituency are facing to access and grow crops on their farmlands due to the activities of killer herders.
Olomu said that should he be elected for the seat the security bill for farmers in his constituency would be his priority, saying their lives matters to save hunger in the state.
He expressed confidence that he remains the candidate to beat for the constituency seat while urging the constituents to get their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, and vote for him.
“I will support good bills and motions, especially security bills for farmers. I am a mechanised farmer, all the farmers that are not able to go to the farm. I know the insecurity people are facing in the country even in my constituency” Olomu added.
