June 13, (THEWILL) – Israel has temporarily shut down all its embassies and suspended consular services worldwide in the aftermath of its military strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites.
The closures, confirmed in statements posted on various embassy websites on Friday, were described as a precautionary security measure.
Israeli citizens abroad have been advised to remain vigilant and avoid displaying Jewish or Israeli symbols in public, as tensions escalate following Israel’s announcement of targeted strikes on Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities, missile production centres, and senior military figures.
“In light of recent developments, Israeli missions around the world will be closed and consular services will not be provided,” the statement read.
No timeline was given for the reopening of diplomatic missions, as the situation in the Middle East remains volatile.
