
December 28, (THEWILL) – The Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists have destroyed another 330KVA high-tension transmission line along Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway.
This was disclosed on Thursday, via a post on X formerly Twitter, by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad.
Makama said the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, December 28, 2023, at about 07:00 hours, between Yanayakiri-Garin Kuturu in the Jakana general area.
The counter-insurgency expert also disclosed that the terrorists planted IEDs around the vicinity which killed one NSCDC personnel.
THEWILL earlier reported that the terrorists had vandalised two transmission towers around Katsaita village on December 21, causing a failure of power supply in parts of Borno and Yobe.
