SAN FRANCISCO, April 14, (THEWILL) – The Governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir El-Rufai on Friday declared that President Muhammadu Buhari has so far done well enough in office, adding that it is in the best interest of Nigeria for the President to stand for re-election in 2019.
He stated that should Buhari choose not to stand for re-election, the Kaduna Governor said he would expect the President to have a say in who the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, fields as its candidate.
“My prayer is that the president gets well…gets back to full health and run again because I still believe his being president…the stability that he brings to the office is in the best interest of Nigeria,” El-Rufai told State House correspondents.
