December 27, (THEWILL) – Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has lost his son, Abdulwahab, in a road accident, just a day after the death of his mother, Maryam Namadi.
Abdulwahab died on Thursday, in a road accident along the Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road while travelling from Kafin Hausa to Dutse with friends.
A statement from the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Hamisu Gumel, confirmed the incident.
“The governor regrets to announce the death of his son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, who died in a motor accident along the Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road”, he said.
Friends travelling with Abdulwahab sustained injuries and are being treated at the Dutse General Hospital.
The 24-year-old has been buried in Kafin Hausa in line with Islamic rites.
