
May 19, (THEWILL) – The Jands Travel Business School (JTBS), Enugu, has announced that the 2025 edition of its annual Domestic Tourism Conference will be held from September 5–6 in Enugu.
This year’s conference theme is “The Future of Domestic Tourism in Nigeria: Celebrating Our Arts and Culture”, the event will bring together key tourism players and related tourism stakeholders, amongst others, to reposition Nigeria’s domestic tourism.
The Chairman of the JTBS Board of Trustees, Chief Ben Etiaba, who unveiled the conference arrangements after inaugurating the planning committee, expressed confidence that this year’s event will be bigger and more impactful than the previous edition.
Pro-Chancellor, Monsignor Prof. Obiora Ike, also emphasised tourism’s role in youth development, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment during the committee’s inauguration at the Ofu Obi Africa Centre.
JTBS Director, Mrs Chioma Obi, said the conference aims to strengthen stakeholder collaboration, spotlight Nigeria’s cultural heritage, and encourage investment in tourism. Key activities will include panel sessions, masterclasses, and cultural showcases.
Notable dignitaries expected include Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, Dr Gabe Onah, and other prominent figures in tourism and public service.
Now in its third year, JTBS continues to position itself as a leading centre for tourism education and enterprise development in Nigeria.
