BEVERLY HILLS, October 06, (THEWILL) – The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has declined comment after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The minister, who arrived the Aso Presidential Villa around 11:35am for the meeting on Friday, left at about 12.50pm.
When approached for comments by inquisitive State House correspondents, Kachikwu simply replied “no comment”, as he walked out of the President’s office with the Special Adviser to the President on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina.
In a memo leaked three days earlier, he accused the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru of insubordination, and among other things awarding a $25bn contract without following due process.
