
August 17, (THEWILL) — The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sami (Goma II), has died at the age of 81.
A statement by the Kebbi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Dutsin Mari, said the monarch passed away on Saturday night in a London hospital after a brief illness.
The Kebbi State Government commiserated with the royal family, the Zuru Emirate, and the people of the state, praying Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The late emir is survived by four wives and seven children.
