March 23, (THEWILL) – The Kogi State House of Assembly has suspended nine members of the Assembly and five Local Government Council chairmen.

This followed a letter read at plenary on Thursday, by the Speaker, Matthew Kolawole.

The letter from Governor Yahaya Bello and his All Progressives Congress party (APC), in the state, said the decision followed alleged acts of terrorism, electoral violence, and acts of insubordination, during the just concluded general election.

Among the suspended lawmakers were majority leader of the House, Muhammed Bajeh and the Lokoja Council Chairman, Muhammed Dan-Asebe.
