October 30, (THEWILL) – Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Ọba Adedotun Gbadebo, has thrown his weight behind the All Progressive Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate, Hon Afeez Balogun, in the November 16 Local Government Election in the state.
This came when Balogun, popularly called BOA, visited the traditional ruler in his palace in Abeokuta to seek his royal blessing on his candidacy for the chairmanship seat of Abeokuta South Local Government in the forthcoming council poll.
The monarch, who described Balogun as a man of integrity and a reputable leader, pledged his support for him while charging him to maintain his good manners until he becomes victorious at the poll.
He insisted that everyone despite such a person’s background would be carried along in Abeokuta South constituency and the State Governor Dapo Abiodun administration would be always supported by him for better governance in the state.
“Everyone Matters” mantra aims to ensure everyone is carried along, regardless of background or circumstance has earned him the trust of Abeokuta South constituents and the support of key leaders, including Governor Dapo Abiodun”, Ọba Gbadebo said.
Earlier, Balogun promised the people of Abeokuta South LG that he would not disappoint them if voted him into power on November 16 to steer the affairs of the council.
He maintained that he would be responsive to their plights and would not fail them in running all-inclusive governance to make their lives and living conditions better if he emerged the winner at the poll.
Balogun, therefore, thanked the traditional ruler for his relentless support toward the cause of making Abk South Local Government remain the premier and work to achieve greater.
