Dapo Abiodun

November 10, (THEWILL) – Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has said that his administration’s achievements over the past five years have left opposition parties unpopular in the upcoming local government elections.

According to Abiodun, the All Progressives Congress is the clear frontrunner, poised for a sweeping victory across all 20 Local Government Areas in Ogun.

Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, over the weekend, the governor stated his administration has fostered a stable political climate, allowing opposition parties to operate without intimidation or restrictions. He added that it’s not through coercion but through “sterling performance and creative ideas” that the APC has firmly secured its standing in the state.

He said, “The quality of candidates our party is fielding in the forthcoming local government election underscores that APC remains the party to beat.

“We have made a significant impact on the lives of Ogun residents, and that is our most compelling campaign message.”

Abiodun urged APC members to stay committed and united to maintain the party’s achievements and secure a decisive win on November 16.

“Every APC member across the 20 Local Government Areas must remain focused and collaborative to uphold the impressive progress our party has achieved over the last five years. We must all work together to ensure a resounding victory for our party,” he added.
