November 03, (THEWILL) – The ruling All Progressives Congress in Cross River State, has cleared all the 18 chairmanship and 196 councillorship positions in the local government elections.
The results was announced by the chairman of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission, CROSIEC, Dr Effiom Boco.
Dr Boco, who also handed over certificates of return to winners of the Councillorship elections commended the newly inaugurated elected council chairmen for the victory.
He urged the Council chairmen not to renege on the campaign promises made to the people, urging them not to forget the responsibilities associated with the office.
Those who emerged as winners for the council championship positions across the 18 local government council areas include three women and fifteen men.
