LG Polls: Cross River Declares Thursday, Friday Public Holiday

October 31, (THEWILL) – The Cross River State Government has declared Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1, public holidays to enable voters to partake fully in the local government election scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024.

A statement by Mr Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said the holiday will afford opportunity for those who need to travel outside Calabar to various parts of the state to exercise their civic duties.

Gill called on the residents, particularly voters, to take advantage of the holiday to engage in the electoral processes.
