November 13, (THEWILL) – The Libyan Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) has deported seven Nigerians, three Bangladeshis and three Ghanaians for violating the country’s laws.
The agency, in a post on X, said the suspects had been detained at the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre before they were flown out of Libya via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.
The individuals were escorted out of Libya via Benina International Airport in Benghazi amid increasing efforts by Libyan authorities to manage illegal migration within their borders.
The post reads, “#Libya 12.11.24 – DCIM deported from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center 13 #migrants (Bangladesh 3, Ghana 3 and Nigeria 7) via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.
All individuals were deported for violating laws in force in the Libyan state. #migrantcrisis #Frontex.”
