Aug 04, (THEWILL) — Lionel Messi has donated €80,000 to help communities recover from the devastating wildfires that recently swept through the Sierra Oeste region of Madrid, providing support for reconstruction efforts in one of Spain’s hardest-hit areas.
The donation was confirmed by the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who announced the contribution in a post on social media and expressed gratitude to the Argentine football legend for his generosity.
“Leo Messi has donated €80,000 for the reconstruction of the Sierra Oeste de Madrid,” Ayuso wrote on X.
