Leading the preparations is a newly formed political group, NEW Associates, an acronym derived from the minister’s initials, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

Other groups, including Wikematic Youths, Wikematic Women, and the Rivers Ijaw Progressive Congress, have reportedly joined in mobilizing supporters for the celebration.

Reports indicate that Wike’s associates, loyalists, and friends from within and outside Nigeria are expected to converge in Rivers State to mark the occasion.

Senator George Thompson Sekibo, Convener of the NEW Associates, disclosed that the celebration would begin with a public lecture titled *Pragmatic Strides of a Visionary Leader and Contemporary Issues of Society*.

Sekibo highlighted that the event would also showcase Wike’s accomplishments in various political positions, both at the state and national levels.

“The forthcoming birthday is unique because, despite the actions of detractors, our leader has kept the political family in Rivers united. He remains the undisputed leader of Rivers politics,” Sekibo said.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has been announced as the Special Guest of Honour, while former Nigerian Bar Association President, OCJ Okocha, and Prof. Julius Ihonvbere will serve as Special Guest of Honour and Guest Lecturer, respectively.

Sekibo further called on Wike’s numerous supporters to turn out in large numbers for the event, which he described as a celebration of resilience and leadership.

“He has survived the machinations of adversaries and continues to thrive by the grace of God. This is an opportunity for all his supporters to come together and celebrate our leader,” Sekibo added.
