Makinde Presents N678bn 2025 Budget To Oyo Assembly

November 13, (THEWILL) – Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has presented a 2025 budget proposal totaling N678 billion to the State House of Assembly.

Presenting the budget before lawmakers on Wednesday, Makinde emphasised the significance of efficient resource allocation, with a priority on infrastructure development to enhance connectivity and stimulate economic growth.

A key element of the budget plan is the continued rehabilitation of feeder roads across the various zones of the state.

“This budget reflects our commitment to serving all parts of Oyo State, especially rural areas that depend on accessible road networks for their livelihood,” Makinde stated.

The proposed budget also prioritises critical sectors such as health, education, and business development.

Education is set to receive N145 billion, while infrastructure claims the largest allocation with N152 billion. The agriculture and health sectors are allocated a combined N59 billion.

The governor expressed optimism that the budget not only represents the aspirations of his administration but also establishes a framework for future governance in Oyo State.
