March 23, (THEWILL) — Nigeria’s equities market closed lower in Monday’s session as bearish pressure dragged key indicators down, despite a positive market breadth.
The market capitalisation declined from ₦129.125 trillion to ₦127.750 trillion, while the NGX All-Share Index (ASI) fell from 201,156.86 points to 199,014.02 points, slipping below the 200,000 psychological mark.
Investor sentiment, however, remained moderately bullish, as the market recorded 43 gainers against 23 losers, suggesting sustained buying interest in select counters even as profit-taking weighed on large-cap stocks.
