November 22, (THEWILL) — The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has been described as a leader with an innovative and creative mind for human capital and infrastructural development of the state.
Paramount Ruler of Ogboinbiri Community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, His Royal Highness Okosughe Benson Eseimokumo, Ogboin the twelve, stated this while exchanging views with journalists in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
The Paramount Ruler commended Governor Douye Diri on his landmark achievements, particularly in the areas of infrastructural development, building of new schools, as well as the renovation of existing, prompt payment of salaries and gratuities to civil servants, security, roads construction across communities in the three Senatorial Districts of the state and the running of an all-inclusive governance in the state.
The monarch stated that when completed, the Senatorial Roads will attract critical investors and reduce the current rural-urban migration, crime, inter- and intra-communal crises and pave the way for unhindered development.
He commended the cordial relationship between the governor and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and the governor’s award of the Oporoma-Ondewari road, the Angiama-Eniwari road, stating that Bayelsa had never had it this lucky since its creation in 1996.
Okosughe Benson Eseimokumo called on the people of Bayelsa State, particularly Ogboinbiri people, to rally round the Prosperity administration headed by Governor Douye Diri to attract more democratic dividends to Bayelsa State.
He appealed to the governor to consider and award a contract for the construction of the Amassoma-Ebeni-Ogboinbiri road, where no bridge is required except the Isampou canal, which will require a culvert that is less than thirty meters.
He prayed to God to grant the governor and his deputy good health and the required capacity to finish strong.
Eseimokumo called on the people of Bayelsa State to rally round the Prosperity administration to enable the Diri-led government to embark on more people-oriented projects across communities in the state.
