August 29, (THEWILL) — The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has unveiled plans to deepen personnel understanding of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) due process framework and its application in the procurement of works, goods, and services.

The plan was unveiled on Friday, August 29, during a one-day symposium held at its corporate headquarters in Abuja .

Delivering his opening remarks, the Director-General, Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, represented by the Director, Operations, Licensing, and Training Standards, Capt. Donald Spiff, stated that the symposium is a testament to the Authority’s continuous effort to maintain transparency and credibility in its operations, strengthen institutional practices, and ensure that procurement activities continue to align with federal regulations and global standards.

Dr Rebecca Aghadinazu, the Director of Corporate Services, in her welcome address, emphasised the importance of the symposium in clarifying some grey areas and providing staff with the requisite knowledge to avoid common pitfalls associated with non-adherence to due process in procurement activities.

The event was organised by the Directorate of Corporate Services in collaboration with Development Issues Consult Limited.

Present at the session were Directors, General Managers, and procurement officers across various departments of NCAA.
