February 10, (THEWILL) – The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has declared four alleged associates of Lagos drug kingpin Alhaji Suleiman Aremu Ganiu—popularly known as Barryshine or Ejeoto—wanted by public notice.
The four suspects, identified as Olarenwaju Ramon Abdulai (a.k.a. Alhaji Loyingbo), Oluwafemi Akande Abidoye (a.k.a. Igbono, Baba Eje, Ade Iwaya, Femi Iwaya), Olumuyiwa Olufemi Ilori (a.k.a. Murphy), and Alate Kafy Zakare Bukki of Kaffy Travels, are accused of playing key roles in multiple drug trafficking operations linked to Barryshine.
In a statement released by NDLEA spokesperson Fermi Babafemi, the decision to declare the suspects wanted follows an order from Honourable Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Babafemi explained that on January 28, 2025, the court granted the agency’s request to issue public notices—complete with the suspects’ photographs—for their involvement in illicit drug trafficking alongside Barryshine.
Barryshine, the managing director and CEO of Barryshine Suleiman Nigeria Ltd, was arrested on August 26, 2024, after coming under the NDLEA’s radar for his alleged involvement in four foiled attempts to export cocaine to Saudi Arabia and Qatar via Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja between 2022 and 2024.
NDLEA officials noted that many of his mules have since been arrested, prosecuted, and convicted, while Barryshine himself faces multiple charges in a Federal High Court in Lagos.
The NDLEA has urged members of the public to provide any information on the whereabouts of the four wanted suspects.
