The Premier League club announced its latest intake of academy scholars as preparations continue for the new campaign, with the group taking the next major step in their development at Old Trafford.

Fabiyi is among the youngsters selected after impressing in the club’s academy system and will be aiming to make his debut for Manchester United’s Under-18 side during the upcoming season.

To mark the occasion, each scholar received a commemorative package that included a Manchester United blazer, a personalised shirt bearing their surname and the number 26, as well as other items celebrating the milestone in their academy journey.

The promising defender has continued to progress through the ranks at the club. In 2025, he was included in Manchester United’s squad for the prestigious SuperCupNI youth tournament in Northern Ireland and helped the club win the Under-15 Premier League Floodlit Cup.

Although he is yet to represent Nigeria at any level, Fabiyi has fuelled speculation over his international future by following the Super Eagles and striker Victor Osimhen on social media, suggesting he could be open to representing the three-time African champions if the opportunity arises.

Fabiyi’s scholarship represents another important step in his development as he looks to establish himself within one of English football’s most renowned youth academies and move closer to earning a professional contract.
