January 08, (THEWILL) – Operatives of the Chennai City police in New Delhi, India, have arrested a Nigerian identified as John Okaber, a.k.a Kempala.
Kempala was declared wanted by Indian authorities in October last year in connection with the alleged smuggling of methamphetamine.
The police had detained 15 suspects after the arrest of one Arunkumar of Ambattur, during an inspection at Naduvankarai bridge in October last year, where more than a kilogram of methamphetamine was seized.
Kempala was suspected of being involved in the crime, prompting a special police force to be on the lookout for him.
He was nabbed in New Delhi after police received information on his whereabouts on January 3.
