… One Soldier Wounded

SAN FRANCISCO, September 11, (THEWILL) –   Two camps operated by the terrorist group in Borno State have been destroyed by a Nigerian military airstrike, according to a statement by army.

Ten members of the Boko Haram were also killed during combat as they fled the camps located in Mada, Konduga Local Government Area, while one soldier was wounded.

Spokesman of the new created 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, in a press statement said gave details of the assault.

“Following airstrike and subsequent destruction of two Boko Haram terrorist camps at Mada, Konduga local government area of Borno state some troops of 231 battalion of 7 Division on their way to Biu had an encounter with fleeing Boko Haram terrorists on Maiduguri/Damboa road at about 10 pm on Tuesday September, 2013.

“10 terrorists lost their lives and some ammunition including 4 AK47 rifles, 5 AK 47 magazines and 250 rounds of assorted ammunition were recovered,” Musa said.

The spokesman added that 10 motorcycles belonging to the sect members were destroyed in the air and land raid.
