February 03, (THEWILL) – Nigerian soldiers are currently disrupting journalists from monitoring the bye-elections, which are being held in five local government areas of Ebonyi South senatorial zone.

Journalists were held for over five hours at various check points, despite effort to explain themselves to the soldiers.

It was also observed that the activities of the soldiers, according a resident, who gave his name as Akpa Donatus, contributed to the low turn-out, to avoid harassment by the soldiers.
