September 18, (THEWILL) — Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has prayed for a world filled with peace, standing firm against the provocations of war.
THEWILL reports that the First Lady made the appeal when she received in audience the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, in her office.
While reacting to recent attacks in Doha, the capital of Qatar, Mrs Tinubu called for more understanding among nations of the world, noting that peace, as advocated by major religions, is close to the heart of God.
The visit of the Ambassador, which was held behind closed doors, explored how to break new ground in partnership between the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative and Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development in Doha, especially in the promotion of the Almajiri system of education and addressing out-of-school children.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ali Bin Al-Hajri expressed gratitude to the First Lady and the people of Nigeria for their support and their call for global peace during this difficult time. He emphasised that Nigeria remains dear to the State of Qatar.
