“A majority of passengers opted for the Lagos connection, which was provided free of charge, while hotel accommodation was arranged for those requiring overnight stay”, it added.

Air Peace stressed that the reports of passengers being abandoned are inaccurate and expressed concern over what it described as “deliberate bashing and persistent hounding” of the airline for unfounded reasons.

“Safety remains the cornerstone of our operations”, the airline said, reaffirming its commitment to regulatory compliance, passenger protection, and operational transparency in collaboration with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The airline appreciated the patience and understanding of its passengers and the traveling public during the disruption, emphasising that it will continue to provide safe, reliable, and world-class air transport services across its domestic and international network.
