December 06, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Fatima Umaru Shinkafi as the Executive Secretary of the Solid Minerals Development Fund/Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative.
A statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, clarified that a previous announcement of Yazid Shehu Umar Danfulani as the Executive Secretary of SMDF/PAGMI has been rescinded.
The statement emphasized that there is no vacancy in the position.
Shinkafi, originally appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari, has been recognised as a key player in the transformation of Nigeria’s solid minerals sector.
Tinubu reaffirmed his confidence in Shinkafi’s expertise and track record, expressing optimism that her leadership would continue to drive progress and meet the expectations of Nigerians in the solid minerals industry.
