November 17, (THEWILL) – The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogun State has won the 20 Local Government Chairmanship seats and the 236 Councillorship wards’ positions to defeat 19 political parties that participated in the November 16, 2024 Local Government election in the state.
OGSIEC’s Chairman, Mr Babatunde Osibodu, while making the announcement of the results known on Sunday, at the Commission’s headquarters in Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, said that with a total of 613,156 votes cast, APC emerged victorious at the poll.
Parties which participated includes Accord Party (AP), African Action Congress (AAC), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Action Democratic Party (ADP), All Progressives Congress (APC), Allied People’s Movement (APM), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Others are Labour Party (LP), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Young Progressive Party (YPP), Action People’s Party (APP), Action Alliance (AA), Boot Party (BP), People’s Redemption Party (PRP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
