Ogun housing projects

January 21, (THEWILL) – Commissioner for Housing in Ogun State, Jagunmolu Omoniyi, on Tuesday, disclosed that the state government has finalised plans to refund N92.6 million for 33 unsuccessful subscribers to the housing schemes in the state.

Omoniyi stated this while presenting the planned project of the housing sector at the highlights and breakdown of the 2025 approved budget tagged: “Budget of Hope and Prosperity”, held at Olusegun Osoba Press Centre, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Omoniyi divulged that the Dapo Abiodun-led administration through the ministry had approved the collation of all the unsuccessful subscribers with their bank checks for the refund of the money to the tune of N92.6 million.

He maintained that all housing deliveries from the state government had been finally sorted to all the subscribers and those who did not get their own houses would have their money refunded through bank checks

The Commissioner said, “Be rest assured that this government is responsible, responsive and accountable for our actions. I can tell you boldly for the housing sector all 33 unsuccessful subscribers for all the schemes we have collated their refund amounting to N92.6m have been approved and their bank checks are ready for collection from the Ministry of Housing.

“The housing delivery has been finally sorted and am not aware of any subscribers that are yet to be settled, it is either you have got the houses or you are being refunded, but let me tell you this we took a position as a government to truly provide this affordable housing and irrespective of the effect from the prices”, he stated.

Other Commissioners include the Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker; Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr Bolu Owotomo; Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu; Commissioner for Transport, Engr Gbenga Dairo; and Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr Olaolu Olabimtan.
