
December 07, (THEWILL) – Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Abiodun Alamutu, will on Monday, December 9, 2024, retire after spending 35 years in service of the Nigeria Police Force.
A parade will be held at Arcade Ground of the State Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital, to mark his retirement.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, made this known on her X handle on Saturday.
“The event will be followed by a reception for guests at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta”, the statement said.
Alamutu, while reflecting on his years of service, thanked colleagues and stakeholders for their support, asking them to grant his successor the same support they gave him.
“I deeply appreciate the unwavering support and commitment shown by my colleagues, community leaders, and citizens throughout my administration.
“As I bow out, I encourage everyone to continue fostering collaboration with the incoming leadership to further strengthen the security framework of our state”, he noted.
