Okpebholo Suspends Free Bus Services For Edo Residents

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo

November 28, (THEWILL) – Governor Monday Okpebholo has directed the immediate suspension of the free bus services across the three senatorial districts of Edo state.

The governor had earlier announced the free bus services in continuation of the policy of the immediate-past administration of Godwin Obaseki which was implemented from 2023 until his exit on November 12 to cushion the effect of petrol subsidy removal.

In a statement, Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Fred Itua, said, “The earlier statement announcing the approval of free bus services by the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, should be disregarded.
