August 21, (THEWILL) – The Central Organising Committee (COC) of the Governor Douye Diri Pre-season Football Tournament has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the event.
The COC Chairman, Ono Akpe, in a statement, thanked Governor Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, as well as the Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Daniel Igali, for their unwavering support and commitment to sports development in Bayelsa State.
It also extended its appreciation to Bayelsa United, the champions of the tournament, the participating teams, the peaceful and orderly fans, the referees and match officials, and all football stakeholders for their contributions to the success of the tournament.
The Prosperity Cup and Pre-season tournament have received widespread commendation from football stakeholders both within and outside the state, solidifying Bayelsa’s reputation as a hub for sports development and talent discovery.
