Ganduje

March 13, (THEWILL) – The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a scathing attack on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, accusing him of being a covert agent of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and working to destabilize the South-West.

Reacting to Ganduje’s recent remarks about Osun and Oyo States, the PDP, in a statement signed by its State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, alleged that the APC chairman is on a mission to create political discord in President Bola Tinubu’s stronghold while secretly collaborating with the SDP to regain control of the North.

The statement described Ganduje as a “failed politician” who, after losing influence in Kano State, is now attempting to stir political trouble in the South-West.

“It is unfortunate that our politics has descended to a level where people can make reckless statements without consequences. President Bola Tinubu did not send Mr. Ganduje on this self-destructive campaign. Increasingly, the APC chairman is behaving like a fifth columnist, working to ignite crises in the President’s home region,” the statement read.

The Osun PDP asserted that the state has witnessed remarkable development in the two years of PDP governance—progress it claims far outweighs the alleged “12 years of maladministration” under the APC. It further warned that the people of Osun would not be manipulated from the APC national secretariat.

The party urged Ganduje to focus on resolving APC’s internal crisis in the North rather than seeking to impose political dominance in the South-West.

“At a time when the APC is bleeding politically in the North, Ganduje is busy sowing division in the South-West. He has no strategy to stop APC’s mass defections in the North or is possibly even colluding with those leaving the party,” the statement added.

The PDP also called on the Presidency to scrutinize Ganduje’s actions, warning that his conduct could incite unrest and undermine President Tinubu’s democratic credibility.

“Ganduje is a known enemy of democracy. His desperate boasts about hijacking and controlling states, as though APC owns the electoral system, reveal his fear of PDP’s growing influence in Osun. This is the same Ganduje who mismanaged Kano State and lost it to the opposition. If he is so confident, why not start his conquest from Kano before setting his sights on Osun?”

The party dismissed Ganduje’s threats, vowing to resist any attempt to undermine PDP’s hold on Osun.

“We are not intimidated. When the time comes, we will triumph again. We did it in 2022, and we will do it again in 2026,” the statement concluded.
