February 05, (THEWILL) – At least 15 students of an Almajiri school have been reported dead and several others injured following a fire outbreak that engulfed their school in Kauran Namoda, Zamfara State.
A report by Zagazola Makama, a security expert, said the tragic incident occurred Tuesday night.
Eyewitnesses described the fire as devastating, noting that efforts to contain it were hampered by its intensity.
They said local authorities and emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide assistance, but the inferno had already caused severe casualties
Authorities in Zamfara including the state police command are yet to issue any statement on the incident.
