September 02, (THEWILL) — The United States Government has warned Nigerians against visa violations, warning that overstaying in the country beyond the authorised period may lead to severe consequences, including restrictions on future travel.
In an advisory on Tuesday, the US mission in Nigeria urged travellers to strictly keep to the terms of their visas.
“It’s important to use your #USVisa according to its terms. Misusing it, for example, by overstaying, may affect your ability to travel to the U.S. in the future”, the Mission cautioned in a post on its official Facebook page.
The advisory applies to all categories of entry, including tourism, business, and family visits.
