
July 22, (THEWILL) — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the dates for its 101st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
In a statement on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the NEC meeting would be held from Wednesday, July 23 to Friday, July 25, 2025, at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja.
“Distinguished members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party are hereby reminded of the scheduled 101st NEC meeting earlier summoned to hold as follows: Wednesday, 23rd; Thursday, 24th; and Friday, 25th July, 2025,” the statement read.
Ologunagba outlined the composition of the NEC in line with Section 31(1) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
Members include the national chairman, serving and former presidents and vice presidents of Nigeria who are party members, the chairman and secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT), and all other BoT members.
Also included are principal officers of the Senate who belong to the party, up to 18 serving senators across the country, and principal officers of the House of Representatives who are PDP members, along with a maximum of 24 serving House members.
Other NEC members include all PDP governors, national officers and their deputies, state party chairmen, six ex-officio members, and all former National Working Committee members who remain in the party.
The list also includes former principal officers of the National Assembly and former state governors elected on the PDP platform who are still party members.
