September 03, (THEWILL) – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won all 18 chairmanship seats in the September 2 local government election in Edo State.
Chairman of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC), Justice James Oyomire (retd), announced the results of the council polls in Benin City on Sunday.
Oyomire said the exercise was rancour-free and that there was no reported case of violence across the State during the election on Saturday.
From the total result released by EDSIEC, the APC came second while LP came third.
