August 25, (THEWILL) — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to the South.
This formed part of the key resolutions of the party’s 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Monday in Abuja.
Announcing the decision, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the zoning committee recommended that all elective positions currently held in the North and South be retained.
He explained that with the North holding on to the office of the National Chairman, the presidential ticket would be reserved for the South.
