
BEVERLY HILLS, October 02, (THEWILL) –Â A former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel will formally declare his bid to contest the National Chairmanship position of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017, his campaign said Monday in a statement.
The event will take place at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The statement said the politician has received endorsements from a former National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, a former governor of Jigawa State and frontline presidential contender, Alhaji Sule Lamido and a former Minister for information and Ijaw Leader, Chief Edwin Clark.
The party zoned the national chairmanship slot to the southwest and has scheduled its elective National Convention for December 9, 2017.
