October 02, (THEWILL) – Armed men have kidnapped the Permanent Secretary, Niger state Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Ibrahim Garba Musa and his granddaughter.
THEWILL learnt that Musa was abducted in his house in Zungeru last night.
The kidnappers, according to one of his family members, forced their way into his residence after bringing his gate down.
“Dr. Musa was already resting in his house. He just came back from a wedding ceremony earlier,” he added.
He said they are reaching out to the State Government to inform them about the incident.
The Secretary to the Niger State Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, when contacted said he has just been informed about the incident and yet to confirm it.
He, however, said that the state government would do its best to ensure the Permanent Secretary is rescued unharmed.
The State Police Command had not responded to the incident as at the time of filing this report.
