April 25, (THEWILL) – The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has appreciated God for the successful hosting of its 17th National Biennial Conference in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

The well-attended programme of renowned fathers of faith, Church leaders and other dignitaries, which was held at The Redeemed Glory Family Church, Agudama, also witnessed the awards ceremony, as well as dinner.

In a welcome address, the State Chairman of PFN, Pst. Dr Tam Seth Eyedoude, said the thanksgiving was not by accident, but a divine providence, he said the essence of the thanksgiving was to appreciate God for a successful hosting of the programme despite the daunting challenges.

Pst. Eyedoude, who described the choice of Bayelsa as a host State for the 17th National Biennial Conference as divinely orchestrated, thanked Governor Diri, David Zilly-Aggrey and other members, for making the conference a reality, which was adjudged to be the best conference ever organised.

In a brief exhortation, South-South Vice President of PFN, Apst. David Zilly-Aggrey, said the importance of gratitude cannot be overemphasised and admonished Christians to make thanksgiving a lifestyle.

Earlier, the wife of the State Governor, Mrs Gloria Diri, had appreciated the State leadership of PFN for setting out time to appreciate God for the enablement and his protection during and after the 17th National Biennial Conference that was hosted in Bayelsa State.

Mrs Diri, who applauded the State PFN family for their continued support to her husband, whom she described as a Christian-friendly Governor, prayed to God to continually use members of PFN as vessels and instruments to again enthrone peace in another four years in the State.

Speaking on behalf of other awardees, the immediate past State PFN Chairman, who is a recipient of the selfless service award, Prof. Prosper Ayawei, thanked his successor and the PFN family for the honour done to them and prayed the same recognition would be given to them.

In a vote of thanks, State Deputy Chairman of PFN, Rev.Tamuno Chesime, appreciated the wife of the Governor, Mrs Gloria Diri, the erstwhile Chief Judge of the State, Justice Kate Abiri, Apst. David Zilly-Aggrey, the political class, the PFN family and dignitaries from other walks of life for gracing the occasion.

Other dignitaries at the events are Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Matters, Rev. Godspower Asingba, PDP chieftain, Mrs Remmy Kuku and State Chairman Pilgrims Board, Jacob Akpiri, Bishop Willie Abos, PFN South-South Zonal Secretary, among others.

The presentation of awards to Governor Douye Diri, his wife, Mrs Gloria Diri, Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Apst. Zilly-Aggrey, Bishop. Prof. Prosper Ayaowei, Dr Tam Seth Eyedoude, Rev. Tamuno Chesime, Bishop Dotimi Egbegi, Apostle Monty Abraham and Evang. Favour Kei, among others, formed the climax of the event.

Recall that renowned fathers of faith, Church leaders, the political class, captains of industry and dignitaries from all walks of life within and outside the shores of the Niger Delta, had converged on Yenagoa for the three-day programme with its theme “MORE THAN CONQUERORS”.
