July 26, (THEWILL) – The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) has interfaced with its Maximum Demand (MD) customers to deepen business relationships among others.
MD customers are energy consumers within a given franchise area that have a high energy demand and are most times served with a dedicated transformer.
The engagement, which was the first of its kind, aimed at fostering stronger collaborative ties through an interactive presentation of ideas to elevate engagement between the DisCo and its stakeholders.
It also served as an avenue to bring customers in that category closer and explain current trends in the electricity sector to them.
Chief Finance Officer (CFO), PHED, Prince Efemena Elutabe, led the opening remarks on behalf of the Ag. MD/CEO, Ochuko Amah, following an introduction by Head, Corporate Communications, Olubukola Ilevbare.
The CFO reminded the PHED guests of the place of the DisCo at the end of a regulated power sector and called for collaboration as the means towards the sustenance of the value chain.
Product Head, MD Private Customers, Engr. Christopher Chigbata, in his presentation, highlighted the role of tariffs in energy management in connection with illuminating the PHED franchise areas and driving profit across the value chain.
A PowerPoint presentation on the New Tariff Structure by Chukwudi Adeshina, Team Lead, Regulatory, and Abayomi Ibitola, Strategy, followed another presentation on Energy Efficiency Tips by the Head of Special Projects & Business Development, Dr. Edith Imaekhai.
The CFO and the management team, including the Head of Administration, RSTV, led the unveiling of the 3rd edition of the PHED Post.
PHED Post, the company’s publication, highlights key activities and trends within the franchise area.
This event also featured a feedback/interaction session between PHED and its customers, which ended positively with answers provided to numerous questions raised by customers and a vote of thanks by the Product Head, MDA, Boma Ofor.
